Royston Town FC Appoints New U23 Manager!
Royston Town Football Club are delighted to announce the appointment of Franco Nacca as the new manager of our Under-23 side!
Franco is a well-known and respected coach with a UEFA B license. After a playing career with Cambridge United, Histon and Cambridge City that was cut short by injury, he turned his attention to nurturing young talent and is highly regarded for his coaching methods.
Franco is looking forward to taking the next step in his coaching career at Royston Town and developing the exciting young players within our U23 squad.

Speaking about the appointment of Franco, First Team manager Chris Watters said:
“Firstly, I just want to thank the people that applied for the role. We had in excess of 40 applicants for the position, and there were some very strong options available to us. We shortlisted 4 candidates, include Franco, all of which would have done a fantastic job for us; however, the tipping point in the end was that we felt that Franco embodies everything important to this club. He’s local, he understands the area, he knows the local players, and his ethos/manner was a perfect fit for what this role requires.”
“Dan Evans and Matt Campany did an incredible job in this role previously, so they are big shoes to fill; however, it came across in the interview very quickly that Franco was more than capable of taking this position and putting his own mark on it. I’m excited to see what he does with it and I look forward to the club benefitting from the next wave of talent that knocks at the 1st team door.”
