Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez to arrive in Maryland on Thursday to be prosecuted for Rachel Morin killing

Victor Antonio Martinez-Hernandez, alleged killer of Rachel Morin, will be extradited to Harford County on Thursday, sheriff’s office spokesperson Cristie Hopkins said.

Martinez-Hernandez, 23, is charged with first-degree murder and first-degree rape in Morin’s death on the Ma & Pa Heritage Trail in Bel Air in August.

Martinez-Hernandez will leave Oklahoma on Thursday morning and fly into Martin State Airport in Middle River between 12:30 p.m. and 1 p.m. before arriving at the Harford County Detention Center, according to the sheriff’s office.

Martinez-Hernandez was arrested by local police and FBI agents in Tulsa on Friday. Harford County State’s Attorney Alison Healey said over the weekend that the extradition process could have taken up to 60 days.
