We run ‘world’s luckiest shop’ & have sold THREE winning lotto tickets in 6 months
ONE shop says they are the “world’s luckiest” as they have sold three winning lotto tickets in just six months.
The fortunate store sold the £844,591 (€1m) winning ticket in Sunday’s Daily Million draw and recently sold £63,335 (€75,000) across three scratchcards to one person and £12,668 (€15,000) to another.
Nan’s Centra in Ballymun, Dublin, was named as the store that sold the top prize ticket on Sunday.
Mick Murphy, who runs the store alongside Manager Chris Vavasour, was thrilled to hear the news.
He has admitted that he has had a few calls this year from National Lottery officials.
He said: “Talk about the third time being the charm!
“Earlier this year, we sold two top prize amounts worth €75,000 and €15,000 on All Cash Platinum and Cashword Doubler Scratch Cards.
“We were absolutely thrilled for both of those wins but now we’ve gone even bigger again for our third big win of the year.
“This is the largest prize that we have ever sold so it’s huge news for us here in the shop but of course for the winner themselves, they are now officially a millionaire.
“I imagine the win made waking up on Monday morning a lot easier than normal!
“We wish the winner all the health and happiness with the good fortune.
“I’d say as soon as the news spreads, we’ll be even busier than normal as it’s great news for the community.”
Located in Ballymun Civic Plaza on the Shannon Road, this is the third time staff have celebrated a huge win.
One lucky scratchcard player took home £64,000 from three tickets, winning £54,000, £845, and £8,445 in one go.
The Kildare player thought they had only won a £8,445 scratch card win – until they kept scratching.
After stopping for petrol, the lucky player bought a scratchcard.
They said: “I was putting fuel into the car and when I went into pay, I said go on, I’ll get one of those All Cash Platinum ones.”
The player immediately started scratching the card hoping for some luck.

They said: “I went out and started scratching it in the car and I won €10,000 in Game 1!
“I was absolutely buzzing! I continued scratching thinking there’d be nothing else left on the ticket, only to discover that I won another €1,000 in Game 2. Happy days, I thought to myself!
“Then I started scratching Game 3, and this is where my jaw hit the floor, I won a further €64,000! I’d just won €75,000 on a scratchcard!”
The winner went on to describe how they tried to contact family members to share the good news, but no one would answer the phone.
They recalled: “My sister kept hanging up on me and I thought come on – will someone bloody answer the phone!
“Eventually she answered and I said, “We’re heading to Dublin, I’m just after winning €75,000.”
We’re ‘UK’s LUCKIEST couple’ after bagging £1m jackpot twice

The UK’s “luckiest couple” bagged a £1million jackpot twice after spotting a clue through a shop window.
David and Kathleen Long banked another £1million EuroMillions prize just 18 months after winning the draw for the first time.
The Scunthorpe couple are the first double-millionaire National Lottery winners to go public.
They came away with £1million and a dream car after David entered the EuroMillions Mega Friday draw after spotting a sign.
He said: “Last Friday night I was passing the local shop and saw there were ten £1million prizes on EuroMillions and a nice car.
“I thought ‘Yeah I’ll give that a go’. I just had a feeling it was going to be me.
“I always knew I’d win, even the first time. I knew I had a good chance then because there were 100 prizes of £1million.”
