COLUMBUS, Ohio (WCMH) -- From the Plain White T's at the Powell Festival to the Violent Femmes at Picnic with the Pops, here are things to see and do this weekend in central Ohio.

Powell Festival

Village Green Park on Friday and Saturday

  • This family-friendly, free event offers two days of live music, children’s activities, local shopping, food trucks and more. Grammy nominated Plain White T's are headlining on Friday, followed by alternative rock band Better Than Ezra on Saturday.

Cap City Festival

Barnett Park on Saturday

  • The third of six Cap City Festivals being presented by the Columbus Recreation and Parks Department is slated to take place from 3-7 p.m. Saturday at Barnett Park. The festivals bring free entertainment, activities, resources and food into community parks throughout the city.

Violent Femmes joins Picnic with the Pops

Columbus Commons on Saturday

  • Folk rock band Violent Femmes joins the Columbus Symphony to celebrate their sound and classic hits like "Add it Up," "Blister in the Sun," "Kiss Off" and "Gone Daddy Gone."

Buckeye Country Superfest

Ohio Stadium on Saturday and Sunday

  • Grammy-nominated artist Zach Bryan is returning to Columbus as headliner of the annual Ohio Stadium event which drew 63,891 country music fans in 2023.
