HOJA is a minimalist floral shop located in Chengdu, China, designed by Geemo Design. The name HOJA, meaning “leaves” in Spanish, draws inspiration from the phrase, “El otoño es una segunda primavera, cuando cada hoja es una flor.” This poetic sentiment is reflected in the minimalist design, with the word “HOJA” displayed simply on the floor-to-ceiling glass. The large glass curtain wall acts as a transparent frame, showcasing the interior to passersby. Inside, the space invites visitors to take a moment of beauty for themselves and their loved ones. An arc-shaped block atop the bar counter adds a playful contrast to the straight lines and angles, creating a sense of flow and separation within the space.

This design element bridges the gap between rough and refined textures, adding depth and richness. Materials are carefully chosen for their simplicity and quality, processed to maintain their natural characteristics. The mineral-coated walls, painted with skill, bring a vibrant yet restrained beauty, adhering to Geemo Design’s philosophy of understated elegance. Beyond flowers, the space features black pottery from the French porcelain brand Astier de Villatte, seamlessly integrating two of nature’s gifts into the design and conveying a shared emotional value.
