We’ve had abysmal heat in Connecticut this week and now weather forecasters are telling us to get ready for days of rain.

The National Weather Service, which now says the current heat advisory is through 8 p.m. Thursday, also forecasts a 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 2 p.m. Thursday. That is amid a mostly sunny day, but with a high near 93 and heat index values as high as 100, according to the service.
