An Alabama man wanted in connection to multiple murders in Oklahoma was arrested in Arkansas on Thursday morning.

MORRILTON, Ark. (KFOR) — An Alabama man wanted in connection to multiple murders in Oklahoma was arrested in Arkansas on Thursday morning.

On Tuesday, June 18, the Sequoyah County Sheriff's Office requested assistance from OSBI after finding a man and a woman dead inside a business in Gans. Investigators identified 50-year-old Stacy Lee Drake of Birmingham, Ala., as a suspect in the murder case.

According to OSBI, a vehicle allegedly stolen by Drake was found in Morrilton, Ark., later that night, leading investigators to believe he was in that area.

Drake was then arrested by multiple Arkansas law enforcement agencies in Morrilton at about 10 a.m. on Thursday. Arkansas DPS says he was found in a wooded area south of University Boulevard and Poor Farm Road, and arrested without incident.

In addition to being wanted for murder, Drake is also wanted on other felony counts from multiple jurisdictions for charges including robbery and carjacking.

The El Reno Police Department tells News 4 that Drake is also a suspect in a murder investigation in the area.

On Friday, June 14, police were dispatched to an El Reno residence where they found the body of 56-year-old Phillip Emerson.

Investigators identified Drake as a suspect in the case, and believe he left El Reno in the victim's car shortly after Emerson's death.

EL Reno Police were informed on Thursday that Drake had been arrested in Arkansas on charges unrelated to their case.

Drake is currently being held at the Conway County Detention Center in Arkansas.
