A Closer Look at Celine Dion’s Impressive Shoe Collection and Red Carpet Style Over the Years
Celine Dion has opened up before about her impressive 10,000 pairs of shoes that she keeps in high-tech closets in Las Vegas and Florida, and out in the real world, she’s shown off some of the best of them. Dion has never been shy about her love of style, either, so it’s no surprise to see the wide variety of choices she’s made for her feet. From mismatched pumps at fashion events to sky-high stilettos on stage, classic sneakers when she’s in mom mode and over-the-top choices for the Met Gala, we take a look back at some of the singer’s best shoe looks over the years.
A Bit Rock ‘n’ Roll
In 2011, Dion hit the stage at The Colosseum at Cesar’s Palace in Las Vegas for one of her shows in a high pair of stilettos with crystal embellishments along the side. The black suede, open-toe shoes had several thick straps and a heel measuring approximately 4.5-inches and gave the singer a bit of an edgier look to pair with her elegant black sequin gown. Dion sang next to a piano as she moved in the shoes to her chart-topping hits like “I Drove All Night” and “My Heart Will Go On.” Her residency lasted for 16 years.
Classic Kicks for Mom Duties
In 2016, the mom of three took her twin boys to the happiest place on Earth in Anaheim to pose with Mickey Mouse in a pair of comfortable canvas Converse sneakers in optical white. The high-top, Chuck Taylor classic have white laces with a red border outlining the shoe and a navy blue stripe along the side of the sole. The brand’s signature name with a star is imprinted on the shoe’s side towards the top and another mention is in rubber along the back.
C’mon Boots
Dion wore a silver pair of boots while on the streets of Paris in 2017. The pointed-toe, sparkly shoes were baggy in the calf and hit about between her knee and mid-calf area. They had short wedge heels measuring approximately 2.5 inches. The singer paired the shoes with a black pair of tight pants with a black bomber jacket adorned with silver studs along the collar. She had smoky, dark eye makeup on to create a dramatic look as she entered an awaiting car with her hair pulled back in a slick bun.
Golden and Glowing
The multi-award winner hung out backstage in her dressing room at the 2016 Billboard Music Awards inside the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas in a pair of metallic gold platform pumps. The shoes had a pointed toe with a front platform measuring approximately 1 inch and a stiletto heel measuring approximately 4-inches tall. She posed moments before stepping on stage in her sequin, one-shoulder gold gown with a flower on her waist and a high slit before belting out “The Show Must Go On” at the event.
Courtside Attire
In 2009, Dion cheered on the New York Knicks alongside her now late husband, Rene Angelil, and her son, Rene Charles Angelil in a pair of black snakeskin pumps. The rounded-toe shoes had a beige color bottom with a heel measuring approximately 4-inches. She opted for a blackish-grey pair of denim pants with zippers at the ankles and a long tan-colored shirt with gold studs and a chunky necklace as she leaned in towards her son.
Shimmering Down the Carpet
In May 2019, Dion shimmered down the red carpet at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City for the annual Met Gala in a pair of strappy, silver metallic pointed-toe pumps. The shoes had a slim heel measuring approximately 3-inches tall, with straps around the ankle for closure and one connecting the front of the shoe to the ankle strap. Dion sported a headpiece with metallics and feathers sticking out the top and a fringe, metallic silver mini-dress to complete her look.
Snakeskin
In 2017, Dion took on a pair of black and white snakeskin boots that covered most of her leg, well above the knee. The pointed-toe boots had a thin stiletto heel measuring approximately 4-inches tall and the shoes appeared to be made of a leather material with a neutral-colored sole. Dion’s hair was up in a bun as she wore large, black sunglasses and a matching snakeskin coat with a black sweater underneath while leaving her hotel in Paris.
Mixing and Matching
While Dion appeared to maybe have accidentally grabbed the wrong shoe, it worked for her while in Paris in 2019. The pumps were leather with a slim heel measuring approximately 3 inches and a pointy toe. One shoe was white with a black toe box while the other was a bright yellow with a white toe box. Dion posed confidently with her hands on her hips in a black blazer with a white collar and large buttons and a ruffled bright yellow mini skirt. She had her hair pulled back with simple pearl earrings and cat-eye black sunglasses.
Posing like a Goddess
Dion posed like a perfected, goddess-like statue on a staircase in France in the summer of 2019 in a pair of strappy stiletto slingback sandals. The gold shoes had a heel measuring approximately 4-inches and two straps over the toe area and one over the back of her heel to keep the shoe on her foot. She had her hair pulled in a tight, knotted bun on the top of her head with glowing makeup as she looked off into the sights of Paris. She opted for a white satin, off-the-shoulder minidress with long dramatic sleeves that fell nearly to the ground.
Back in the Spotlight
After taking some time away from the spotlight to focus on her health, Dion hit the streets of New York City in June 2024 to promote her latest documentary, “I Am: Celine Dion,” in a pair of black and white color-blocked, open-toe heels. The slim stiletto measures approximately 3 inches with variations of white and black shades across the shoe. She had her hair pulled back with large gold hoops, a gold chain with charms and a pair of jeans with a brown leather belt. She chose an army green colored shirt that said “Celine Paris” as she smiled brightly with a matching green leather purse over her shoulder and large dark sunglasses.
