Heather Rae El Moussa Answers a ‘Natural’ Motherhood Question She Should Never Have Been Asked

Heather Rae El Moussa is being incredibly gracious after being asked a question that should be considered off freakin’ limits. Because when it comes to family planning, people need to mind their own damn business. Did the people in the back catch that one?! People need to stop asking others if and when they’re going to have kids.

Maybe they don’t want to have kids or aren’t ready to and are tired of having to validate their decision to busybodies like Harrison Butker. Or maybe they’ve been trying for ages and are having an incredibly painful — emotionally and physically — time trying to conceive. Maybe they’re going through IVF treatments. Maybe they’re recovering from a miscarriage.

So while we know the urge is there — and Heather Rae is incredibly compassionate in that regard — please stop asking. The Selling Sunset star recently did a Q&A on her Instagram Stories and was asked by a fan if she and her husband Tarek El Moussa wanted to expand their family.

“I get asked this a lot, I think it’s just a natural question,” she said, being much more understanding than I clearly am. “We already have one amazing, adorable baby and I’m obsessed with him.”

Heather Rae then admitted that she and Tarek have a “full plate” with three kids. They share 1-year-old Tristan, and Tarek shares Taylor, 13, and Brayden, 9 with ex Christina Hall.

“And Tristan’s an easy baby, you guys. I love everything about it,” she said. “I love everything about being a mom. So it does make me want more kids.”

“But then a lot of people have said you have one angel baby and the second one ends up being like a terror. So that would probably happen to me but you know what? Whatever. So I don’t know, we’ll see. You never know what’s going to happen.”

You never know what’s going to happen, and you never know what’s happening in someone’s life. Which is why — even if you think it’s a “natural” question — you should stop asking the newlyweds when they’re going to start a family and if baby siblings are on the way.

*Steps off soapbox*

Last month, Heather Rae got incredibly candid with TODAY, saying that having a baby with Tarek made their marriage “even harder.”

“We definitely had to go through some adjustments after Tristan was born,” she said. “Suddenly all of my time was going into our baby, but you have to remember to still be a wife. I think marriage is hard in general, right? And then you add kids into it and that makes it even harder.”

Now, though, the Flipping El Moussas stars are finding their stride. “After the first year though, I feel like everything really fell into place for our family. Tarek and I are thriving,” she said. “We make date nights a priority and take little trips here and there so we feel like our old selves and not just Mom and Dad all the time.”
