'Fox hasn’t learned': Mary Trump slams network for 'doubling down on their dishonesty'

Mary Trump thinks Uncle Donald is "scared" and blames Fox News for being all too eager to whip up a frenzy.

The 78-year-old's niece and psychologist detailed the presumptive nominee's paranoia at play in her latest newsletter "The Good In Us."

Titled "Donald Is Desperate: 'Cheap fakes' and what they reveal," Mary points to the decision by Trump's "minions" pulling the strings at the Republican National Committee — but also "paid propagandists" at Fox News for parading an uptick of "cheap fakes".

Together she writes, they have "started deceptively editing and clipping videos to make it look like President Joe Biden is wandering off in a daze or freezing up."

She notes that these clips are strategically edited and have succeeded in "going viral (while the debunking of them has not) and right-wing extremists are posting them on social media to paint Biden as a cognitively impaired old man who is losing touch with reality."

And this is where she accuses Fox News of forgetting hundreds of millions of regrets from pushing unproven narratives from its airwaves when they settled with Dominion Voting Systems.

"Apparently, Fox hasn’t learned a damn thing from having to fork over $787 million for lying to the American people about the 2020 election while defaming Dominion Voting Systems, because they’re doubling down on their dishonesty," she explains.

Despite putting an end to the lawsuit with Dominion, Fox News is also facing a $2.7 billion defamation lawsuit brought by the voting system company Smartmatic.

For Mary, the so-called "cheap fake"s aren’t simply dishonest but "they’re dirty... Even for politics.

"Even for the paid propagandists at Fox. Even for the Republican Party."

It's the continuous loop of Biden gaffes and stumbles that she believes are straight out of Donald's "alley."

Mary writes that it's a Trump play to institute an "effective low-blow strategy" that is proving the level of desperation by Trump and his "enablers".

But the "cheap fakes" intended to undo Biden are pure projection.

"Everything we know to be true about Donald — his tendency to wander off aimlessly, literally and rhetorically, his propensity for waving to people who aren’t there — we’re suddenly seeing Biden doing in manipulated videos."

The move of attacking Biden, who is a few years older at 81, is to deflect Trump's own "impairments" and "lapses."

"And they are desperate," she argues. "But not because he’s losing—or not only because he’s losing—but also because he’s losing it. They know it and, on some level, he knows it, too."

There's one solution that she is hoping Trump might consider: quitting.

"For the good of the Republican Party, and the country," according to Mary, "Donald needs to step aside and let some other authoritarian, America-hating extremist take over the nomination."
