(KLFY)-- Three men of the Lake Charles area were sentenced for multiple firearm and drug charges, including heroin and fentanyl.

Dexter Jamone Allen, 37, of Fenton was sentenced to 151 months, followed by three years of supervised release, for possession of firearms by a convicted felon and possession with intent to distribute a substance containing heroin and fentanyl. He pleaded guilty to the charges on Feb. 7.

On February 8, 2022, after the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office stopped the vehicle Allen was driving to issue a traffic violation and execute an arrest warrant, a vacuum sealed bag of suspected heroin, .45 caliber ammunition and a large amount of cash was discovered and seized. The suspected substance that was found was later analyzed, and it was confirmed it was at least 49.81 grams of heroin, fentanyl and 4-ANPP. A search warrant for Allen’s home was obtained, and additional controlled substances, a digital scale, more cash and five firearms and ammunition were found; two of the seized firearms were reported as stolen.

Brendan Alexander Delafose, 28, of Lake Charles has been sentenced to 24 months in prison with three years of supervised release to follow, for illegal possession of a machine gun. He pleaded guilty on Jan. 31.

Authorities stopped Delafose in July 2021 for careless driving, and deputies discovered he had marijuana. Law enforcement officials found a Glock firearm with a Glock conversion device attached which purposefully converted the firearm to a machine gun.

Daniel Chemeeks Rodasti, 35, of Lake Charles was sentenced to 105 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release, for being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition. He pleaded guilty to the charge on Feb. 7.

In June 2021, Rodasti committed a traffic violation, and officers stopped him as a result of it. Deputies smelled a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle as they approached.
