Here are TV Mag’s six telly picks for Friday 21 June 2024…

Celebrity Gogglebox (9pm C4)

Loose Women Judi Love and Charlene White

Prepare to laugh and cry alongside everyone’s favourite VIP couch critics, as they react to the small screen shows that have had us all talking this week.

Stars Judi Love and Charlene White, father and son duo Jeff and Bobby Brazier and Rylan Clark and his mum Linda – who is fast becoming more famous than him – are among those giving their very honest views.

The Nevermets (10pm C4)

Matt and Emma meet in real-life for the first time.

“EVERYTHING rests on this trip,” says Matt as he travels to the Philippines to meet his girlfriend Maria – with an engagement ring stored snugly in his pocket.

The pair have been together for three years after connecting on social media and are meeting face-to-face for the first time.

While things start strong – with a 30-minute long hug – Matt then has to deal with the problems the culture clash brings about, including winning over Maria’s parents who speak no English whatsoever.

Not to mention the fact that virgin Matt and Maria also want to consummate their relationship…

Elsewhere, Leah and Chad enjoy a two-week long first date – which includes meeting his best friend, teen daughter and dad.

A fascinating outlook at long-distance relationships, warts and all.

The Isle of Wight Festival 2024 ( 7pm Sky Arts)

The Darkness are just one of the huge acts that’s are playing on Friday night.

If you didn’t nab a ticket, you can still enjoy the annual festival from the comfort of your sofa.

Carole also reports on the successional tattie planting and hot-foots it to the domestic greenhouse to give us the lowdown on what needs to be done right now to make sure tomato and cucumber crops thrive.

Sister Boniface Mysteries (9pm Drama)

Sister Boniface is excited to meet sci-fi star Kirk Fabricant when a murderer strikes!

Everyone’s excited when sci-fi star Kirk Fabricant arrives for the convention of his cancelled TV series, Professor Y.

But it doesn’t quite go to plan when the show’s rude creator Douglas Wiseman arrives with the woman who played Professor Y’s sidekick on his arm, before storming out mid-Q&A after receiving a telegram.

The next morning, he’s nowhere to be found – and there’s a pool of blood in his hotel room. So Sister Boniface and others make it their mission to work her way through the ever-mounting suspects in another episode of this madcap mystery.

Rubbish Tip Britain : Dispatches (8pm C4)

Fly-tipping is becoming a huge problem across the country.

In an hour long episode of Dispatches, the grubby but lucrative world of waste crime is exposed. Shockingly, the programme exposes the dumping of banned waste at a major landfill site.

It’s been going on for years, yet has seemingly gone unnoticed by the authorities.

And there’s more, including potentially  hundreds of unregulated waste dumps and evidence of organised illegal fly-tipping.
