According to German outlet Ruhr Nachrichten, rumoured Tottenham target Serhou Guirassy wants to join Borussia Dortmund this summer.

Tottenham have been linked with Serhou Guirassy

Guirassy boasts of an extraordinary goals-to-games ratio across the 2023-24 season and with the centre-forward having a release clause of just £15m, it is unsurprising that his future has been the subject of much speculation over recent months.

Tottenham are one of the clubs thought to be eyeing a move for the centre-forward, with GiveMeSport even claiming last month that Ange Postecoglou had given the club the green light to sign the Guinea international.

However, it seems they might not have things their own way, even if they are interested in him.

Guirassy says ‘yes’ to Borussia Dortmund

However, Ruhr Nachrichten have now said that Dortmund are closing in on the centre-forward, who has now expressed his intention to make the move to Westfalenstadion.

The report says that the Bundesliga giants have shown interest in Guirassy for a long time and the Stuttgart star is now 90 per cent sure regarding joining the club.

With Dortmund’s new head coach Nuri Sahin also being a fan of the 28-year-old, it is alleged that the club could soon meet the the striker’s release clause and triple the salary that he is currently earning at the MHPArena.

If Ange was keen on signing Guirassy, Tottenham would have got their man by now as this is a fairly easy deal to complete, given the striker’s release clause.

Spurs would also not have any issues offering the 28-year-old a more lucrative contract than Dortmund. However, it appears as if the Lilywhites hierarchy and Ange are not fully convinced about the Stuttgart man.
