CDTA changes Flex, Flex+ routes for the summer
ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) is making several changes to its Flex and Flex+ on-demand services. Starting Monday, June 24, the routes will operate between 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
Additionally, the summer schedule will begin on Monday, July 1, providing convenience to downtown customers. Customers can book Flex+ rides for $3 through The Routing Company's Ride Pingo app, CDTA's Navigator app, or cash.
For Flex Colonie riders, on Monday, July 1, the service will no longer serve the SUNY Collins Circle and Patroon Creek Boulevard stops. There will also be only one pick-up and drop-off at shopping centers.

Service updates
- Route #22 (Albany – Troy via Watervliet) – Peak trip frequencies will be reduced.
- Route #354 (Rotterdam Square Mall – Nott Street) and Route #602 (Amsterdam to Schenectady via Exit 26) – Routes will be combined on weekends to create #605. Customers wanting to go to Scotia on weekends can use #353 and #450.
- Route #450 (Schenectady – Wilton via Route 50) – Will no longer stop at Quad Graphics.
Seasonal updates
- Route #12 (Washington Avenue) – Weekday frequency reduced.
- Route #114 (Madison Ave. – Washington Ave.) – Weekday frequency reduced.
- Route #910 (Purple Line BRT) – Frequency reduced. Service ends earlier on weekends.
- Route #224 (Albany – Troy Via I-90) – Weekday frequency reduced.
- Route #85 (Fifth Avenue) – Will not stop at La Salle Institute.
- Route #452 (Skidmore College/Downtown Saratoga) – Will not run after 9:30 p.m.
Seasonal services
- Route #96 – Return of Grafton State Park service for summer.
- Route #875 – Return of Saratoga Trolley for the summer.
Suspended routes
- Route #111 (Western Ave/Fuller Rd) – Suspended for the summer.
