On Nov. 18, 2023, around 4:30 a.m., the Rosepine Fire Department responded to a fire at the Benoit Ford dealership in the 18000 block of Johnnie B Hall Memorial Highway in Deridder. The flames destroyed the building and the dealership’s inventory.
(KLFY)-- The State Fire Marshal’s Office needs the public’s help with identifying and finding a suspect involved in a car dealership fire that happened in November 2023 in the Deridder area.
On Nov. 18, 2023, around 4:30 a.m., the Rosepine Fire Department responded to a fire at the Benoit Ford dealership in the 18000 block of Johnnie B Hall Memorial Highway in Deridder. The flames destroyed the building and the dealership’s inventory.
Based on the tips, pictures and videos that were submitted during the investigation, authorities determined the fire was set intentionally. Authorities provided images of what appears to be a young man, standing around 6 feet tall and wearing a dark-colored hoodie and skinny jeans, who can be seen walking around the dealership at about 4 a.m. Law enforcement officials said someone who passed by the dealership 30 minutes later reported the fire.
