FORECAST DISCUSSION:

Good Friday Evening,

It has been the hottest day of the year today, with high temps pushing into the mid to upper 90s. We continue to track a few isolated showers & thunderstorms in the eastern half our area this evening, with better chances closer to I-77. Overnight, expect that we will have partly cloudy skies, and temps only falling into the lower 70s.

Saturday should be another hot day, with highs into the upper 90s with a few isolated showers possible by mid to late afternoon. Some of these showers will be very slow movers and could give some good rainfall to a few spots. Sunday we will have a much better chance of showers and even storms, a bit earlier in the day.

These showers and storms will be with a cold front, and it will keep us below 90° for the first time in a week. Expect highs in the upper 80s on Sunday. Monday will see clearing skies with highs back in the upper 80s with lower humidity. Tuesday, expect mostly sunny skies, and highs back into the 90s again, lower 90s.

This heat spike will be short lived this time, as we will have another cold front for Wednesday with highs back into the upper 80s. Expect more relief behind the front for Thursday and Friday with highs in the middle 80s as sunshine returns.
