Royals vs. Rangers Friday game thread

The Royals take on their spring training neighbors, the Texas Rangers, for the first time this weekend in Arlington, Texas. The Rangers have struggled this year trying to defend their title, and have lost 10 of their last 15 games.

Brady Singer had his fifth Quality Start of the year last time out against the Yankees, despite giving up three home runs. Hunter Renfroe returns to the lineup after missing ten days with a toe injury.

The Rangers start Nathan Eovaldi, who lasted just three innings in his last start against the Mariners, allowing four runs. His splitter has a 40 percent whiff rate and he is inducing groundballs at a 50 percent rate.
