A savvy shopper was left stunned when browsing the aisles in her local Aldi, when she spotted an affordable garden buy in the middle aisle.

Thrilled with the Specialbuy, Rosemary Marsh took to social media to show it off to others.

Posting on Extreme Couponing and Bargains UK, a private Facebook group with 2.5 million members, Rosemary proudly shared a snap of her purchase, alongside a picture of the buy in her garden.

Rosemary was lucky enough to get her hands on the Solar Glass Snowdrop Stake Light, as she penned: “Bought this yesterday from Aldi, £8.99.”

Thanks to Rosemary’s £8.99 Aldi buy, her garden has instantly been lit up, without having to splash the cash on pricey garden lights that will rack up her electricity bill

It’s also added style and glamour to her outside space, and is sure to leave guests impressed this summer

The solar decorations resemble a beautiful Snowdrop flower and there’s three different designs to choose from – Bluebell, Snowdrop and Foxglove.

Not only does this vibrant buy look gorgeous in the day, but it’s sure to illuminate your garden at night, and is perfect for outdoor evening entertainment.

It is hand painted with an impressive glass finish and is made from a robust metal.

And if that wasn’t enough, it comes with a one year guarantee too.

But if you want to get your hands on these gorgeous garden lights, you’ll need to run to your nearest store as soon as possible.

The stylish lights are currently sold out online, but they can be found in middle aisles, while stocks last.

SHOPPERS REACT

Social media users were left open-mouthed by Rosemary’s post, and many took to the comments to express this.

When's the best time to shop at Aldi?

WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.

For reduced items – when shops open

Red sticker items are rare at Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says that none of its food goes to waste so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.

A spokesman for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommend sales price before stores open on their best before or use by dates.”

That means you have the best chance of finding reduced food items if you go into stores as soon as it opens.

Opening times vary by shop but a majority open from 7am or 8am. You can find your nearest store’s times by using the supermarket’s online shop finder tool.

For Specialbuys – Thursdays and Sundays

Specialbuys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.

New stock comes into stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best one-off special deals.

For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head there for your local store’s opening time.

You don’t have to head into stores to bag a Specialbuy, though.

They also go on sale online, usually at midnight on Thursday and Sunday, and you can pre-order them up to a week in advance.

As long as you spend at least £25, you’ll get the items delivered for free.

Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit as early as possible

At the same time, many shoppers tagged their friends and loved ones to alert them to the cheap Aldi buy.

One woman mentioned a Facebook user and wrote: “These would look good in the new garden!”

A second asked a loved one: “If you see one can you get me it.”

Whilst someone else mentioned an Aldi shopper and begged: “Can you please keep an eye out?”

Why do Aldi and Lidl have such fast checkouts

IF you’ve ever shopped in Aldi or Lidl then you’ll probably have experienced its ultra-fast checkout staff.

Aldi’s speedy reputation is no mistake, in fact, the supermarket claims that its tills are 40 per cent quicker than rivals.

It’s all part of Aldi’s plan to be as efficient as possible – and this, the budget shop claims, helps keep costs low for shoppers.

Efficient barcodes on packaging means staff are able to scan items as quickly as possible, with the majority of products having multiple barcodes to speed up the process.

It also uses “shelf-ready” packaging which keeps costs low when it comes to replenishing stock.
