I’m furious after spending £700 on VIP Taylor Swift tickets at Wembley – only to end up with an obstructed view

ONE Swiftie has been left fuming after their £700 VIP ticket to Taylor Swift’s Wembley concert had obstructed views.

Fan Molly Andrew shared her gutting experience in a TikTok clip after she said she was sold the ticket as a “VIP unobstructed seat” of the concert.

One fan posted a video of their obstructed view similar to Molly Andrew’s view described in the Daily Mail

But she got to the £700 seat to find a sound and lighting tent blocking her eyeline of one part of the stage.

Molly said: “Brilliant night obviously because its Taylor Swift but way way overpriced for the view.

“Wembley Stadium were no help either.”

The short clip showed a packed Wembley Stadium with the Romeo and Juliet singer on the big screen dancing.

But the part of the stage she was performing on, which goes out into the crowd like a jetty into the water, was behind the grey tent.

Only during one dance when the singer and her backup dancers moved into a different section of the stage could Taylor actually be seen.

The clip showed how Molly was unable to see Taylor performing multiple hits including 22, We are never ever getting back together, Ready for it, and I knew you were trouble.

Molly gave her advice to other fans saying they had similar seats: “go straight to the information desk before even going to your seat, and try grabbing any spare tickets they have.

“I believe they moved a handful of people to other obstructed areas but they ran out of extra so they told us to basically deal with it after the show with our ticket provider.”

“It is really upsetting, they should clearly say on the ticket if it’s obstructed. They would 100% still sell the tickets, but without misleading people.”

The US pop megastar, 34 kicked off the London leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour on Friday, with American footballer boyfriend Travis Kelce also in attendance.

The London audience included the Prince of Wales, Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, nine, and Prince Louis, six, to the show, alongside fellow royals Zara and Mike Tindall.

Footage has since been posted on social media showing William dancing in the crowd among thousands of roaring Swifties.

He is seen – dressed in a buttoned down shirt and blazer – swaying his arms as he gets into the music on the terrace.

William previously shared the stage with Swift at Kensington Palace in 2013 to perform Livin’ On A Prayer by Bon Jovi for a charity event.

He later said he obeyed “like a puppy” the singer’s request for him to join her.

Taylor has been holed up in an exclusive £15,0000-a-week Cotwolds holiday home.

Insiders told The Sun’s bizarre editor the Shake It Off singer has had access to an exclusive farmhouse estate in the countryside, a stone’s throw from celebrities including Posh and Becks, Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden.

The pad comes with its own swimming pool and a tennis court. A source said: “Off stage, Taylor is very low key and likes her home comforts.

“She has rented a lovely place in the Cotswolds for some downtime.

Travis Kelce, her boyfriend, was in London for the first gig last night and their pad near Chipping Norton is the perfect place for them to kick back and relax.

“Taylor has a place in the capital too but with her family on tour with her, it’s nice for them to have some space.

“She has been blown away by the reception from her British fans and is loving her time on tour here.

“To be back in the UK and to spend some time here has been a real treat.”

Wembley Stadium and AXS have been approached for comment.

What are your rights in this situation?

Tickets to concerts can be sold with notifications specifying they have an obstructed view.

It is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure they have checked if a clarification about an obstructed view has been made or not.

If the ticket company did make a mistake and sold an obstructed ticket as an unobstructed ticket, the buyer might have recourse for some form of refund.

That would particularly be the case if the seats were not where they said they would be at the venue or if the obstructed view was particularly egregious.
