HCSO: Man in custody after SWAT callout in Dripping Springs

HAYS COUNTY, Texas (KXAN) -- One person is in custody after the Hays County Sheriff's Office responded to a SWAT callout in Dripping Springs, HCSO told KXAN Saturday.

Around 1:20 p.m., HCSO received a call about a man who was yelling in the roadway near Terrace County Drive. When law enforcement arrived in the area, HCSO said shots were fired at them.

HCSO then reported the man was barricaded inside a home in the 600 block of Terrace Canyon Drive.

Officials told KXAN the man was taken into custody shortly after 5 p.m. and was being evaluated. No injuries were reported.

No other details were released Saturday.
