ATCEMS: 1 dead after vehicle rescue on FM 969

AUSTIN (KXAN) -- One person is dead after a vehicle rescue on Farm-to-Market Road 969 on Saturday, Austin-Travis County EMS said on social media.

Around 5 p.m., ATCEMS medics responded to the vehicle rescue in the area of 10100-10500 FM 969 near Imperial Drive. Medics said there were three patients total.

Medics pronounced one person dead on the scene. Another person had serious injuries, and the last one was "not expected to be life-threatening injuries." Both people were transported to Dell Seton.

Drivers should expect extended traffic lane closures while law enforcement continues investigating. No other details were released Saturday.
