Prince Harry might do something in return after his father, Prince Charles, offered him an olive branch by mentioning him in his essay. The Duke of Sussex might consider pushing back the release of his memoir, according to a royal commentator.
Prince Harry Delaying The Release Of His Memoir?
Prince Harry announced in July that he was working on his memoir that would be released later this year. There were concerns that he might drop it during the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebration. However, he might allegedly consider pushing it back after his dad Prince Charles' efforts.In a recent essay for Newsweek, the Prince of Wales mentioned both his sons Prince William and Prince Harry for their conservation effort. According to royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams, Prince Charles did it to repair their relationship.
"The fact that Charles has done this in Newsweek, which has a large circulation in America, I think it’s clearly a form of an olive branch in the hope that there will be a form of reconciliation," he told The Sun. "I think if you offer an olive branch it's only reasonable to expect something in return."
The expert speculated that Prince Harry could delay the release of his memoir to give the royal family favor. Fitzwilliams believed that doing so would be a fair exchange.
"I would have thought that some form of postponement of the autobiography would be considered," he explained. "Otherwise everything that is said to Meghan and Harry when they come over for the Platinum Jubilee—which I'm sure they will—could conceivably find its way into the book."
He continued, "The Royal family needs to know the pressure is being taken off them when it comes to this autobiography. This is a way of handling it."
Fitzwilliams was not the only person who thought that the move was a "peace offering" to Prince Harry. British journalist Jonathan Sacerdoti told Us Weekly it was a "shift from what the Queen did."Queen Elizabeth seemingly snubbed Prince Harry in her previous speeches. Her Majesty acknowledged the Prince of Wales and Duke of Cambridge in her speech at the COP26 summit. She also didn't mention Prince Harry in her Christmas Day message.

What Did Prince Charles Say About Prince Harry In His Essay?
Prince Charles penned an essay about climate change for Newsweek. In his piece, he mentioned Prince William and Prince Harry for their efforts in helping the environment.
He acknowledged Prince William's Eathshot and Prince Harry's work in Africa to address the climate change in the continent.
"As a father, I am proud that my sons have recognized this threat," Prince Charles wrote on Newsweek's Jan. 4 issue. "Most recently, my elder son, William, launched the prestigious Earthshot Prize to incentivize change and help repair our planet over the next 10 years. And my younger son, Harry, has passionately highlighted the impact of climate change, especially in relation to Africa, and committed his charity to being net zero."
The Duke of Cornwall also mentioned his late father, Prince Philip, in his essay. According to the Prince of Wales, the late Duke of Edinburgh already foresaw the damage that humans would bring to the planet 60 years ago, so he founded the World Wildlife Fund.
Prince Charles attempted to bring together the family in the run-up of the holidays. Apparently, it did not happen. Royal expert Angela Levin said that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would likely turn down the Prince of Wales' invitation to stay with him.
Meghan Markle and Prince Harry Unlikely To Stay With Prince Charles
The Duke and Duchess of Sussex will likely turn down Prince Charles if he offers to have them stay with him, according to Levin, because that would be "too awkward" following their public row. She also believed that Meghan Markle doesn't want to return to the UK.
"Of course, when you are married, your partner has a say in it all and I don’t believe Meghan ever wants to come back here," Levin told The Sun. "She would find it very difficult to stay with Prince Charles and the duchess [of Cornwall] because I think she would be quite awkward about it all."

Prince Harry seemingly criticized Prince Charles' parenting in a previous interview. He insisted that he planned to "break the cycle" of pain for his and Markle's children.
Also, the royal couple was not shy in showing the world how unhappy they were when they were in the palace. The duchess even said there was a time she thought of killing herself.

Prince Harry Should Apologize To His Father Prince Charles
Angela Levin said that Prince Charles loves his son and is allegedly devastated by his behavior. While he could be resentful, the Prince of Wales won't go that route. Instead, he encourages his youngest child to return to the royal fold but not necessarily into the royal family. He just wanted to be amicable with them.
"I think Charles is very brave, very honourable and it should really be Harry that apologies to him and try to get back in his good books, but I think this looks as though it’s the other way round," Levin continued. Prince Charles has been looking forward to meeting his grandchildren with Prince Harry. He was reportedly sad that they didn't have the opportunity to do so, that's why he wanted them to stay with him if they were in the UK.
Despite what happened between them, an insider told Mirror that the father and son have "good-natured and enjoyable calls." The Prince of Wales is reportedly looking forward to it.

In 2016, Prince Harry released a fiery statement to protect his then-girlfriend Meghan Markle from the attacks of the press after their royal romance made headlines. However, it wasn't great timing because Prince Charles was on a seven-day trip to the Middle East.The Duke of Sussex's move had his father "completely out [of the water]," News.com.au reported.
Royal journalist Robert Jobson was with Prince Charles during the trip at the time. He shared on BBC's documentary The Princes And The Press how Prince Harry's statement for Markle affected the Prince of Wales royal tour. Apparently, it stole the limelight from the heir apparent.
"When you’re on a trip, say with the Prince of Wales in the Middle East, and all of your negotiations for a week to get the chat with the Prince of Wales, to say, ‘We guarantee you the splash,’ all goes out the window because Harry releases this big statement about the press and about their treatment of Meghan was outrageous," he said.

Prince Charles' Son Prince Harry Grumpy Toward The Press
In the same documentary, The Times royal correspondent Valentine Low recalled how Prince Harry treated the media when he and Meghan Markle visited Australia, Fiji, Tonga, and New Zealand.
According to Low, the Duke of Sussex was grumpy and was glowering at them, too.
"Harry had been pretty grumpy on that tour," Low said on the BBC documentary. "Harry was just glowering, he was very cross, he’s cross with the media, and he spent the entire welcoming ceremony just diverting his gaze to one side just to stare daggers at the press pack."

He added that Prince Harry's staff encouraged him to talk to the press while they were on a flight from Tonga to Sydney. They were able to convince Meghan Markle's husband to do so, but his words were sharp.
"Thanks very much for coming, guys, not that you were invited," Prince Harry reportedly told them.
"it went down incredibly badly," Low added.

King Charles didn't remove his son, Prince Harry, and disgraced brother, Prince Andrew, as Counsellors of State. However, a report claims it is unlikely they will be called of duty because he added more royals for the same role.
King Charles Snubbed Some Royals And Promoted Others?
The new monarch gave his siblings Princess Anne and Prince Edward big promotions by including them as among the Counsellors of State, who carry out constitutional roles when he is abroad or sick. The Earl of Wessex and the Princes Royal are now officially able to carry duties on his behalf.
In writing to the House of Lords, the new King said he would be "most content" if the number of Counsellors of State would "be increased to include my brother and sister, the Princess Royal and Earl of Wessex," The Sun reported.
"To ensure continued efficiency of public business when I'm unavailable, such as while I'm undertaking official duties overseas, I confirm that I would be most content should Parliament see fit for the number of people who may be called upon to act as counsellors of State under the terms of the Regency acts 1937 to 1963 to be increased to include my sister and brother, the Princess Royal, and the Earl of Wessex and Forfar. Both of whom have previously undertaken this role."
King Charles Planned To Remove Prince Harry And Prince Andrew From Official Roles?
The Counsellors of State are the monarch's official stand-ins. They are the next four people in the line of succession who are over the age of 21. At present, they are Prince Andrew, Prince William, Prince Harry and Princess Beatrice.
When King Charles took over the throne, he reportedly wanted the Counsellors of State to be working members. Unfortunately, three of the four — the Duke of Sussex, Duke of York and Princess of York — are non-working royals.
According to The Telegraph, King Charles wanted to amend the law to remove the three. However, it seemed that he had a change of heart. He opted not to remove his brother and son from their official duties to reportedly avoid embarrassing them further.
Why Did King Charles Add More Members To The Pool Of Counsellors Of State?
Author Dr. Craig Prescott said there is "no ability for individual members of the royal family who are counsellors of state to step down or renounce their role in anyway," Now To Love reported.
He added that the most logical change that the monarch could make is to add more members to the group, which is apparently what the King did.
"The most straightforward solution is simply to add to the pool of counsellors of state, other members of the royal family who may well be further down the line of succession but still conduct public duties," Prescott added.
