Elliott Cadeau’s Mother: Leave The Moms Alone

What sober person could argue?

We don’t know anything about Michelle Cadeau, mother of UNC point guard Elliot Cadeau other than she’s Swedish which we saw somewhere along the line. That’s about it.

We might not like her if we met her. Who knows?

What we do know is that we like what she posted on Friday:

There’s always a history between Duke and UNC but for the most part, there’s no reason to go after the moms and it’s great for her to take the lead on this and we hope Duke (and UNC) fans can reach a consensus on this. Nothing good would come from that.

We say for the most part only because we can imagine circumstances where a mom could make herself a target. Consider Tyler Hansbrough’s mother Tami, who was a UNC employee who resigned after her relationship with former UNC quarterback and later fundraiser Matt Kupec came to light, along with some questionable financial behavior.

Or consider - and this is clearly unlikely but consider it as a hypothetical example only - what would happen if Mrs. Cadeau somehow made herself a target in Cameron with some deeply ugly behavior.

Would fans go after her?

Obviously and fairly.

Again, that’s strictly hypothetical and we can’t see it happening because Mrs. Cadeau, clearly, is a class act. We hope everyone will listen to her on this.
