'Seriously' injured woman extricated from car after Vancouver crash, man hospitalized
PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- A woman had to be extricated from her car after a two-car crash on a Vancouver roadway, leaving both her and a man hospitalized with serious injuries Saturday evening, authorities say.
Just after 8 p.m., Vancouver fire crews were dispatched to the area of Lower River Road and Northwest Gateway on a report of the crash.
On arrival, they found two cars had been involved in the crash, with one having gone off the roadway down a steep hill.
After using ladders to get down the hill, firefighters say they had to use extrication tools to cut a woman out of the car.
The woman and a man were then taken to the hospital.
Vancouver Police Department is currently investigating the cause of the crash.
No further information has been released at this time.
