Ballston Lake man arrested for alleged burglary

The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office reported the arrest of Shawn Sheriff, 32, of Ballston Lake, on Sunday.

CLIFTON PARK, N.Y. (NEWS10) -- The Saratoga County Sheriff's Office reported the arrest of Shawn Sheriff, 32, of Ballston Lake, on Sunday. Sheriff is accused of stealing credit cards after entering a person's home.

Charges

• Second-degree burglary
• Fourth-degree grand larceny

Police say they responded to an active burglary call Sunday morning around 3:38 a.m. Upon investigating, police arrested Sheriff for entering and remaining illegally in the home to commit a crime as well as steal credit cards belonging to the homeowner.

Sheriff was arraigned in Clifton Park Town Court and placed in Saratoga County Jail in lieu of bail.
