Redditor Beyontelling detailed her anti-aging regimen in a comment on the social media platform.

“The most important thing for eye wrinkles is SPF during the day — all over the eye area with mineral based sunscreen to avoid irritation/stinging,” she said.

“I unfortunately didn’t learn about this until my late 40’s so I’ve been doing damage control for about three years, keeping up a strict routine of retinal/retinol and peptides at night, mineral SPF during the day.

“The crepey skin isn’t going away but it’s not getting worse and I can minimize the look of it by keeping my skin as hydrated as possible.”

WHAT TO USE

She listed a few of the products she uses to improve her skin.

“Pipette Baby Mineral SPF 50 is incredibly affordable, very comfortable to wear, and usually available at Target,” she said.

“But I also really love the new Neutrogena Tinted Mineral UV that you can get at any drugstore.

“I’ve been using the Versed, around $19 at Target, Advanced Retinoid Eye Balm for a last-step nighttime treatment.

“I apply most heavily on the eyelids because that’s where I need the most help, but I do my under-eye, too.

“Sometimes I use it on my upper lip or on the flaky skin around my nose because it’s extremely gently but very hydrating.

“I’m about 70% done with the tub, and I’ve been using it almost every day for a year, so it is not expensive in the long run.

“If you can find something with retinal (retinaldehyde) as the main active ingredient it will be gentle enough for the eye area.

“As long as you introduce it slowly into your routine, it can eventually be used nightly.”

The Versed Smooth Landing Advanced Retinoid Eye Balm is sold for $17.99 at Target.

EYE BUYS

The Redditor shared a few more go-to products to keep her eyes looking youthful, including SPF.

“Clinique Pep Start Mineral SPF 50 (in the little yellow bottle) is the best one I’ve found for wearing under makeup, because it’s mineral but not at all greasy and the fluid is very thin,” she said.

“It dries down completely and never irritates my eye area, and also doesn’t interfere with my eye primer or shadow.

“I don’t use it on my whole face, just my lids and under-eyes to stretch it further — then use my other more emollient sunscreens on the rest of my face and neck.

“Also Supergoop Shimmershade is a cream eyeshadow with SPF built in. It’s a very nice formula for one and done eyeshadow you just swipe on with a finger.

“I wouldn’t rely on it solely, but it’s great for a quick out the door and a little extra assurance.”
