Experts Claim Prince Harry’s Little-Known Fear May Be Leading to Less & Less UK Trips

Ever since Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, left the royal family, their appearances in the UK have become increasingly sparse. And now, royal author and expert Tom Quinn recently told The Mirror that the lack of trips may have something to do with this alleged, little-known fear of Harry’; one that’s quite similar to his late mother, Princess Diana.

While we’ve heard about Harry’s struggles to get optimal security for when he visits the UK, Quinn is claiming there’s more to it.

“Harry is completely obsessed with the idea that any visit to the UK is fraught with security difficulties – hence his continued legal action to challenge the UK government’s decision not to fund his security,” he said. “Harry hates the idea of hotels – last time he stayed in a hotel on a visit to the UK he had to leave and arrive virtually in disguise. The problems are even bigger if he plans to stay with friends as he’s convinced, he is always being watched by the media and that they will find out where he’s staying.”

So, Harry is allegedly worried about media attention when he visits, and is worried his rooms are bugged or someone is watching him; very similar to how Diana felt after leaving the royal family.

During the infamous BBC interview Diana did, she was adamant that she was being spied on.

Expert Marlene Koenig talked about this further, per Express, saying, “She had this fear or a perception that she was under surveillance and I think it had something to do with – what I would call her alleged paranoia about many, many things.”

Koenig added, “The way she also dropped her security after stepping down, even though the Queen and Charles were adamant that she should have kept it.”
