Redditor Nightskystargazer shared her regimen in a comment on the social media platform.

“I know some, if not all, will find my routine gross,” she said.

“Menopause has been my enemy. I’ve become allergic to things that, in the past, have never bothered me.

“I’ve had so many changes to my body, particularly my skin.”

WHY NO SOAP?

The Redditor went into detail about her skincare ups and downs.

“I used to be very oily, and now my skin is textured and Sahara dry,” she said.

“Therefore, my once elaborate routine is now simplified. I never wash my face with soap.

“I splash water on my face, exfoliate with an exfoliating cloth in the morning, and immediately apply two moisturizers, Cerave in the tub and La Roche Posey AP, followed by sunscreen if I’m going out.

“In the evening, if I haven’t gone out again, I splash my face with water and apply more moisturizer, the same as the AM.

“Before bed, I apply Tretinoin, followed by another layer of moisturizer.

“If using sunscreen that day, in the evenings, I’ll splash my face with water, take some Pond’s Cold Cream, and a soft cloth, and gently massage my face until I feel all the sunscreen is gone.

“[I] splash water to remove the cold cream.

“I’ll follow everything else the same as my PM routine.”

The woman said her skin looks better than ever — even when she used to shell out for pricier products.

“My skin looks better now than when I spent hundreds, if not thousands, of dollars on expensive skincare,” she gushed.

“My skin glows. Good luck with your skincare journey.”

Another Redditor agreed with the postmenopausal woman’s skincare advice.

“I agree the best products don’t have to be the most expensive,” they said.

“Pond’s is fabulous so moisturizing.”

Pond’s Cold Cream is dermatologist-tested and sold for $5.99 at Target.

Dr. Anatalia Moore is a GP and skin specialist with over 11 years of clinical experience.

She told The U.S. Sun that her goal is to equip patients with the knowledge they need to take control of their skin journey.

She said the fundamental basics of a beauty routine are the same for all ages — it should include an effective cleanser, moisturizer, and SPF.

“Moisturizers are my superstar, even over products containing active ingredients,” she said.

“Finding a well-balanced moisturizer that provides the right kind of hydration, replaces natural oils, and seals them in, literally stabilizes your skin.

“This in itself quickly can soften the appearance of fine lines and texture, as often these are worsened by dehydration.

“It also allows the skin to function as it should.

“It then can heal faster, which, among many things, can lead to fewer lines and wrinkles, less flares of dermatitis and rosacea, and shorter-lived, milder breakouts.”
