We bought £2 mystery Amazon returns – my husband got 14 things in one but some people still think it’s a ‘rip off’

A COUPLE who splashed out on £2 mystery Amazon returns at the market have divided opinion as to whether or not they’re worth it.

Nathan and Amelia decided to take a gamble and purchase two of the parcels from a stall at North Weald Market.

And they took to their TikTok page to share a video as they opened the parcels for the first time.

Amelia was up first, excitedly ripping open the packet to find a Kilner Shake & Make whipped cream jar – which retails for £7.50.

“That is actually not too bad,” she said.

“I thought it was going to be worse than that.

“Not too bad for £2!”

Nathan added that she could also “give it to someone for Christmas” if she didn’t want to keep it.

Then it was his turn to open his parcel.

The first thing he pulled out was a wine gift bag, followed by three ninth birthday cards.

“With all my love on our anniversary,” Nathan read on the next card, as he joked “I’ll be keeping this for Amelia for next year!”

There was also a multi-pack of Happy Birthday cards with pictures of pints of beer on the front.

He then pulled out multiple “special friend” birthday cards, as well as two cards to a “special daughter” which he noted were “the worst thing of them all”.

“So that’s everything we got, for basically £4, on the Amazon mystery finds,” Nathan concluded.

“But I don’t see how… was it even Amazon? Because I don’t see why you’d buy them cards off Amazon!”

People in the comments section were divided as to whether or not the parcels were worth buying, with some insisting they were a total “rip off”.

“They have no names or addresses on so not Amazon returns,” one person insisted.

“They’re so much of the same things tbh,” another sighed.

“Only thing bloke tells people don’t open em by his stall,” a third pointed out.

“Such a rip off – me and a few others got that too,” someone else said.

As another wrote: “I did this last weekend and got one of those too!”
