New free family festival launches next month at top UK holiday park – with mini Landrovers, archery and shows
A BRAND new family festival is launching in the UK next month – and it’s completely free.
Away Resorts, which currently has 25 holiday parks across the country, has announced it’s new Famaland Tots event.
The free festival will take place at it’s Tattershall Lakes park in Lincolnshire.
As the first ever family festival for the park, the event is made for families with babies and toddlers.
Some of the main activigies will include mini Landrovers which kids can drive themselves, as well as mini archery and mini golf.
Bug hunts and pottery making will also be open for kids, as well as swimming sessions for both babies and toddles.
Foam parties, cinema shows, mini discos and marshmallow toasting will even be inside the park.
Live performances will also be included, with acts from Hartbeeps and Mister Maker.
Parents can even take their little ones to a mini farm and meet a “baby dinosaur”.
Simon Jones, CEO of Away Resorts says: “Creating memorable family holidays is at the heart of Away Resorts and we wanted to create something truly unique for those with younger children, to ensure they could have a memorable and affordable holiday experience.
“Famaland Tots promises that in abundance. With so much on offer, we’ve created an environment for families to spend quality time together and form long-lasting memories.
“We can’t wait to welcome everyone to this one-of-a-kind event in July.”
The event will run from July 1-5 and July 8-12.
There will also be a “bespoke” Tots Menu, with a Monster Meal Deal for £8.50 including a main such as chicken nuggets and pasta along with a side, drink and desert.
Otherwise other snacks and drinks include ice creams, pizzas and loaded fries from Propeller Bar’s Mediterranean and the Spitfire pub.
Adults can make the most of cocktails at the Giggling Goose too.
The Tattershall Lakes holiday park has revealed a number of huge renovations in recent years.
Back in 2022, the new Catch 22 fish and chip shop opened, following an £18million renovation across all of the Away parks.
In April, Away revealed it’s new rockstar-themed holiday lodges with private hot tubs.
Also new this year is the new Shadow Wood Lodges, which can sleep up to six people.
