Charli XCX Calls Out Fans Dragging Taylor Swift Over Perceived Chart Snub

Charli XCX shared a pointed message with any fans that have been dragging Taylor Swift since the release of her new album Brat.

Out earlier this month, Charli‘s Brat is on track to become one of her strongest performing projects to date. It just missed the top spot on the charts in the United Kingdom and went Top 3 on the Billboard 200.

However, some fans have blamed Taylor for blocking her from the top spot in the United Kingdom. The week that Brat dropped, the pop titan shared another deluxe version of her album The Tortured Poets Department.

As a result, a subset of Charli‘s followers have taken offense and are making it clear that they aren’t happy with her. A video emerged of some even shouting “Taylor is dead” at one of Charli‘s shows, which prompted a response from the singer.

“Can the people who do this please stop,” Charli wrote, resharing the clip on her Instagram story. “Online or at my shows, it is the opposite of what i want and it disturbs me that anyone would think there is room for this in this community. i will not tolerate it.”

Charli‘s response comes after she publicly cleared the rumors that she was feuding with another pop star.
