Skincare CEO warns that we’re ‘surprised’ part of our body ages faster than our face – & shares ‘key’ to preventing it

Dr. Nayan Patel is a pharmacist, wellness expert, and CEO of Auro Wellness.

He shared the anti-aging strategies that are overlooked all too often.

Dr. Patel also addressed hacks for common issues, such as under-eye bags, and detailed how to get to the root of any skincare problem.

SKIN AND SUN

Dr. Patel noted a part of the body that tends to face neglect in skincare.

“Often we forget that just like our face, our hands are exposed to a lot of free radicals daily from UV exposure to toxins we interact with daily,” he said.

“Simultaneously, we do not protect, nourish and support our hands as much as our face and are often surprised our hands are aging faster.

“Making sure there is a balance between free radical and antioxidant support is key.”

He added that keeping the skin protected from free radical damage is crucial.

“Antioxidant support is essential to help rejuvenate and protect the skin,” he told The U.S. Sun.

“Our skin is constantly bombarded with free radicals that lead to oxidative stress on skin, so making sure antioxidants are present to quench all the free radicals ensures the skin is balanced.

“Adaptogens are key as they work with your body and ‘adapt’ to the needs of skin.

“They provide anti-inflammatory properties, stress reduction, enhanced skin barrier, antioxidant support and more to the skin.”

Adaptogens, such as ashwagandha, are herbal remedies to help the human body deal with stressors.

DR. PATEL’S ROUTINE

The skincare expert shared three tips he swears by for his own complexion.

“Water consumption is the best way and only way to truly hydrate your skin,” he said.

“[Use a] mild soap to cleanse so you don’t strip skin of natural oils.

“[Eat a] diet of essential fatty acids — our skin is made of lipids so fatty acids are essential to nurture the skin cells.”

He addressed some frequent concerns he hears about skin elasticity.

“When looking at common issues of the skin, I always look for what the root causes of the concern is,” he said.

“For example when eye bags are of concern — they are often caused by [induced stress], lack of sleep, and poor diet.

“Work to fix these habits in your lifestyle habits like meditation, [a] good night sleep and then also deliver healthier ingredients to your body topically and internally.”

Auro Skincare delivers both adaptogens and antioxidants to follow Dr. Patels protocol.
