FX moves up ‘The Bear’ Season 3 premiere by three hours this week

With fans of the FX hit “The Bear” growing ever-more anxious with anticipation for the show’s Season 3 premiere over Hulu, FX made the decision to accommodate their impatience by moving up the premiere of the multiple Emmy-winning show by three hours from its originally scheduled release. Hulu will now drop all 10 of its episodes at 9 p.m. ET and 6 p.m. PT this Wednesday the 26th rather than making viewers wait until midnight on Thursday the 27th in the East (or 9 p.m. on Wednesday in the West).

The series quickly grew to become a phenomenon after premiering in June 2022 and won a whopping 10 Emmy Awards for its first season in January, including trophies for Best Comedy as well as for its writing and direction and for actors Jeremy Allen White, Ebon Moss-Bachrach and Ayo Edebiri. It is widely expected to garner the most nominations among comedy series when Emmy bids are announced on July 17 and is heavily favored to again run the table (or close to it) in comedy for its second season.

Season 3 of “The Bear” will follow Carmy (White), Sydney (Edebiri) and Richie (Moss-Bachrach) as they work to continue the ever-stressful transition of their restaurant from a gritty Italian beef sandwich shop to a fine-dining establishment in Chicago. Besides White, Edebiri and Moss-Bachrach, the series stars Abby Elliott, Lionel Boyce, Liza Colon-Zayas and Matty Matheson, with Emmy nominee Oliver Platt and Molly Gordon in recurring roles.
