Animal control officers looking for person who abandoned malnourished dog in Bristol park

A mistreated dog was found abandoned in Page Park in Bristol park on Monday.

A mistreated dog was found abandoned in a Bristol park on Monday, officials said.

Bristol Animal Control officers were called to Page Park on Monday morning after a dog was found lying under a tree, the department said in a statement.

The department shared photos of the dog on Facebook. “We found this sweet little (girl) that had apparently been left there.” the message said.

Animal control officers are asking for the public’s help in locating the person, or persons, responsible for hurting and abandoning the dog. Anyone with information is asked to call 860-584-3087.

The dog is not currently available for adoption.
