‘So tacky’ people slam couple for strict baby shower rules including no gift no entry & even bringing their own plates 

CELEBRATING new life is an exciting time for everyone – but one couple has been slammed for their strict baby shower rules.

Taking to social media, the couple revealed that they had an extensive list for guests to follow if they wanted to celebrate with them.

In the clip, the couple revealed that the rules helped them save thousands of pounds while throwing the baby shower.

“5 ‘controversial’ rules we had at our baby shower that saved us £7,322,” they wrote.

As they were throwing the bash, the couple were clear they expected something in return and told guests prior to the party that they expected a gift or they would be refused entry.

Not only did they expect people to give them a present they also wanted their guests to bring their own food to eat there.

“Everyone was instructed to bring at least one plate of food to share for the catering,” they added.

“If you didn’t bring a plate you couldn’t eat (not sure why this upset so many people).”

Despite being thrilled to bring their own child into the world, the couple were adamant no children could be present at the baby shower.

Guests were also given one drink token so they could ave an alcoholic beverage but they limited it to one each to stop anyone from getting drunk.

The video shared to the TikTok account @povapp has gone viral with over 300k views and 12k likes.

People were quick to share their thoughts on the strict rules in the comments section.

One person wrote: “Nah u chose to have a kid and want people to pay to come to YOUR baby shower.”

Another commented: “So I’m getting a baby sitter, bringing my own food & gift….as tempting as it sounds, I’m going to pass…”

“I’m curious on how many people showed up,” penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: “Gotta bring a gift? Food? And take the pictures at that point I’m staff.”

“Did someone showed at the end or was it just you two,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: “This sounds like a job for the guests!”
