I read about a successful female tennis player recently who, by the by, said she was a huge Man City fan even though she had no link to Manchester.
This is where Wagner hopes to take Blues: we will (one day he thinks) have a huge new following, none of whom will ever know what the Kumars, Golds, Mr King, Autowindscreens, Martens or Brugge away were all about.
This match fits into that pattern...a whole new era where Blues are a very different beast. Incidentally, I suspect asking to play the match in the US was just a ruse to get us noticed in the media.
