Viewers who also watch EastEnders were quick to recognise him.

The actor, 35, starred as Tyler Moon in the long-running show from 2011 to 2013.

His character was the son of Eddie Moon (David Essex), as well as a cousin to legendary Alfie Moon (Shane Richie).

During his time on Albert Square, Tyler notably had a relationship with Whitney Dean (Shona McGarty), before making his exit after two years.

Meanwhile, actor Tony has spoken positively about his experience on the show, noting he’d be open to returning.

He previously told The Sun: “I loved my time there. It was a great chapter in my life and if the opportunity ever came up, I would definitely be interested.”

After leaving EastEnders, Tony worked as a firefighter and a barman – while telling The Sun he couldn’t be happier.

He added: “I love it. Every day is different and you feel you’re helping your community.

“It can be quite dangerous but you’re trained to deal with those situations.”

Tony is, of course, not the only actor to have appeared in both EastEnders and Doctors.

Original Doctors cast member Christopher Timothy appeared in EastEnders as Ted Murray from 2017 to 2019.

Doctors actress Bharti Patel, who portrays Ruhma Carter, is currently featuring in Albert Square as Maya Houssain.

Bharti’s EastEnders character is involved in a storyline which has seen her becomes friends with show regular Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman).

Although viewers have been speculating about Maya’s motivations in befriending Harvey.
