It’s the second time Anthea has appeared on the programme having filmed an episode back in 2017.

Last week we revealed The Traitors stars Harry Clark and Paul Gorton are also part of the series.

Antiques & Collectables Whittlesey hosted Anthea, Darren and antiques experts Phillip Serrell and Ishy Khan as they searched for a collectable bargain to sell for profit.

The independent shop in Cambridgeshire wrote on Facebook: “What a great day of filming!! So much fun. Double the experts and celebrities today!! It was immense!!

“The two experts said ‘it’s one of the best shops they’ve been to in a long time!’

“Thank you to Philip Serrell, Anthea Turner, Ishy Kahn, Darren Harriott

“And the film crew. You’re all amazing!!

“We’ve now appeared/appearing on Antiques Road Trip 3 times! With them saying we will be back! So we must be doing something right.”

They added: “And our biggest thank you….

“To all of our wonderful customers who support us on a daily basis that allows us to keep going, you are all amazing.”

For decades Anthea was one of the most recognisable women on TV.

From Top of the Pops to GMTV, the National Lottery, Celebrity Big Brother and Dancing on Ice, she’s done it all.

But when she hit 60, Anthea noticed the roles suddenly dried up; she last appeared in Channel 5 reality show Celebs In Solitary back in 2018.

In 2001, she told us: “Last year, I was in talks about a TV project when they came to a crashing halt because the production company couldn’t get insurance to cover me, simply because I’d turned 60.”

She continued: “In May last year, in the midst of a global pandemic, I entered my 60s. On my birthday, I felt elated and full of joy, but when the celebrations subsided, becoming a sexagenarian hit me like a thunderbolt. I thought: “Hold on a second, I’m 60!”

“I didn’t look any different to the day before, when I was still in my 50s and I didn’t feel any different, either – no less relevant, capable or self-confident. However, around me I began noticing ageist attitudes. I’d overhear comments like: ‘Yeah, they’re pretty old. They’re in their 60s’.”

The age-defying star has diversified and now sells her own natural beauty products, which have received a raft of five-star reviews from buyers.
