Taylor Swift 'Won Over' Travis Kelce in This Surprisingly Public Moment in Their Relationship
While someone might be won over by receiving a beautiful bouquet of flowers, or a delicious home-cooked meal, Travis Kelce had his heart fluttering over another gesture from his girlfriend, Taylor Swift.
In a new episode of the Bussin’ With the Boys podcast, Kelce remembered the beginning of his relationship with Swift and the moment he realized she was the real deal. It all clicked for Kelce when Swift jumped on the chance to attend her first Kansas City Chiefs game on Sept. 24 against the Chicago Bears. In addition to dressing the part in a Chiefs jacket, the “Lover” singer also bonded with his friends and family (including his mom Donna Kelce) in the VIP section.
According to the Chiefs tight end, what he loved most about her attendance was how cool she was about it all. “She just walked right through the front door,” he said, adding that there was no “talking to security, making sure that she gets to her [seat],” per Us Weekly. “She’s just like, ‘I just wanna be around the family and friends and experience this with everybody,'” Kelce remembered.
To Kelce, that meant a lot. “Damn, she’s in the madness,” he thought. “She wants to be a part of it. She wants to support me and do things like that.”
“She really won me over,” he added.
Throughout the many games she attended, Swift continued to show off her personality and bond with Kelce’s inner circle. “And I think that’s why I really started to, like, really fall for her was [watching] how genuine she is around just, like, friends, family,” Kelce said. “It can get crazy for somebody with that much attention. And she just keeps it so chill and so cool.”
For Kelce, having her support his team also brought a whole new level of fandom. “Her fans have turned into Chiefs fans,” he said. “So it’s like I’ve had fun with just about every aspect of it.”
Earlier in the podcast, Kelce, who recently made an onstage appearance at the Eras Tour, talked about the balance of being in a public relationship. “You wanna keep things private, but at the same time, I’m not here to hide anything,” Kelce said. “That’s my girl. You know what I mean? That’s my lady, so it’s, like, I’m proud of that.”
“I’m not sitting here trying to juggle, like, ‘How can I keep this under wraps?’” he continued. “You just don’t want to let everybody into your personal life and be able to comment on it knowing that everything she does is getting a headline.”
Though we understand Kelce’s concern with the attention, we can’t help but want to know more about their connection, especially if it’s as heartwarming as this one.
