England won their opening match of the tournament against Serbia before drawing with Denmark.

A win against Slovenia will see the team qualify top of Group C and the players will be fuelled by their personal pre-match meals.

These meals include classics such as baked beans while one star enjoys a mountain of pancakes.

Jude Bellingham – Baked beans and eggs

The Real Madrid star loves to tuck into a plate of baked beans and eggs before a match.

Jude Bellingham benefits from the high-quality protein from the meal and is also a good source of carbohydrates.

The dish is often described as one of his “favourite meals”.

Declan Rice – EIGHT pancakes with syrup

The midfielder goes for one of the more filling meals before a match as he tucks into a mountain of pancakes.

Declan Rice claimed it is the “best thing” and has been a “game changer” since joining Arsenal in 2023.

He told Men’s Health UK: “I have four pancakes before a game. Covered in syrup or honey. I swear to God, it’s the best thing.

“When I joined the club, I could see the [Arsenal] players eating them and thought to myself, ‘What is going on here?’ But honestly, it’s been a game-changer.’

“I don’t understand the science behind it, what’s in them or anything like that, but it gives me such a high energy boost. I think that’s why I’m able to rattle around the pitch so much.

“If we’re playing at 5.30pm, I’ll sometimes have eight pancakes in a day. I’ll have some at breakfast and I’ll have some more at 3.30pm before we play.”

Kyle Walker – Rice pudding

Kyle Walker likes to remain quick on his feet for a match and eats to make sure of it.

The Manchester City defender will have a tin of Ambrosia rice pudding before a match.

He explained: “My pre-match meal is rice pudding, that’s it. I used to eat pasta and pasta before a game but then I just felt too heavy.

“If we travel away the chef packs me a tin of Ambrosia rice pudding and then I just have that.”

Harry Kane – Scrambled eggs

The England captain, like Bellingham, likes to load up on protein before a match.

Harry Kane will eat some scrambled eggs and avocado toast, which will provide the body with long-sustained energy.

The striker will be hoping he can outrun the Slovenian side and add to his one goal so far at Euro 2024.

Phil Foden – Pesto pasta

The attacker will eat the meal three to four hours before a match.

Phil Foden will benefit from a boost of energy from the meal and carbohydrates in the pasta.

The Manchester City ace will also get a good source of protein which will aid his recovery.

'We're struggling with and without the ball', admits Harry Kane

HARRY KANE admits England “haven’t been good enough” at the Euros.

Here’s what skipper Kane said after the disappointing 1-1 draw with Denmark:

“We’re struggling with and without the ball.

“The pressing in both games hasn’t been quite right. We haven’t been good enough, from top to bottom, from me to Picks (Jordan Pickford).

“Everyone is dropping below their level a bit, in terms of retaining the ball, playing under pressure.

“We know there’ll be a bit of noise and disappointment back home.

“But it’s a time to stay calm and we’ll get there step by step.

“It wasn’t our greatest game but we got away with draw.

“We are starting games well. But when the teams are dropping a few players deeper we are not quite sure how to get the pressure on, and who is the one who is supposed to be going.”

“In the second half, we changed it with me and Jude (Bellingham)  playing in front of their two midfielders. But it was difficult.”
