Romance Between Ayo Edebiri & Jeremy Allen White's 'The Bear' Characters? Details Revealed!

Ayo Edebiri and Jeremy Allen White‘s characters on The Bear are not heading towards a romance anytime soon.

Head chef Carmy and sous-chef Sydney will not be getting together in the series, the two actors confirmed during a press conference on June 24.

When asked if a romance between Carmy and Sydney had been considered for the upcoming season, the two said in unison “no,” via Vanity Fair.

Jeremy added: “There was no talk in the rooms about any romantic implications.”

Ayo said that Sydney has “really looked up to” Carmy, but she’s now “in the thick of doing business with” him – which is “a lot more chaotic than she might have idealized before they really started working together.”

The partnership was Carmy “trying to welcome her in a little bit,” Jeremy said, adding that “affects Carmen and Syd’s relationship.”

“He’s got a lot going on in his mind all the time, and people aren’t always aware of exactly what’s going on,” he said.

Season 3 premieres on June 26 on Hulu.
