Report: Midfielder agrees personal terms with Spurs ahead of potential move
According to a report in Aslinda, Fenerbahce midfielder Sebastian Szymanski has now said ‘yes’ to Tottenham and has even verbally agreed a contract with the Premier League side ahead of a potential summer transfer.
Spurs want Sebastian Szymanski
Szymanski is coming off an impressive season, where he scored 13 goals and registered 19 assists across all competitions for Fenerbahce and the attacking midfielder is thought to have emerged as a target for Spurs.
The latest to report on Tottenham’s pursuit of the player was GiveMeSport, who claimed last week that Ange Postecoglou wants to bring the Poland international to N17 and that an offer of around £30m would be enough for Spurs to clinch the deal.
Aslinda have now claimed that Spurs have not only held negotiations with Fenerbahce over Szymanski but have also got the player’s approval for the transfer.
Szymanski gives green light to Spurs move
The report claims that the 25-year-old has already agreed to personal terms with the Lilywhites on a four-year contract ahead of a switch.
It is revealed that Spurs have proposed an offer of €17.5m (£14.7m) for the Pole but they have been told that they would have to increase this in order to sign the midfielder.
The publication adds that Fenerbahce will allow Szymanski to travel to London for a medical once a full agreement has been reached on the fee.
Spurs Web Opinion
Almost no British outlet has picked up this story, with almost all the speculation linking Szymanski with a move to Tottenham coming from Turkish publications.
We will have to wait and see if this story has any legs.
