Upgrades shut off Pittsfield's online permit system

Starting Wednesday, software upgrades will temporarily shut down Pittsfield's Engineering Division's online permitting system, PermitEye.

PITTSFIELD, N.Y. (NEWS10)-- Starting Wednesday, software upgrades will temporarily shut down Pittsfield's Engineering Division's online permitting system, PermitEye. The new system will be available on Monday, July 1, and will make requesting city permits more user-friendly.

PermitEye 20/20 shares more details with city residents about their permit requests during the approval process. The transitional period of the system upgrade allows for all current data to be moved to the new PermitEye system.

Anyone looking to file a permit request during the shutdown can fill out a paper application at the Engineering Division office on the mezzanine level of 10 Fenn St. or call (413) 499-9327. Requests can be paid by cash or a check made payable to the city of Pittsfield.
