Winkler, best known as Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli aka The Fonz, became the epitome of coolness during his ten year stint on Happy Days from 1974 to 1984.

The former sex symbol also appeared in Hollywood movies like Scream and The Waterboy as well as hit TV shows such as Arrested Development and Parks and Recreation.

And the veteran actor yesterday swapped Tinseltown for Scotland’s Capital on a tour to promote his new book.

Kitchin, who has featured on Saturday Kitchen Live and MasterChef, was thrilled to welcome the much-loved star to his restaurant.

He wrote online: “Monday, Tuesday, Happy Days…

“The team at The Kitchin had the pleasure of welcoming the great legend Henry Winkler to the restaurant today.

“We wish you all the very best with your book tour Henry.”

Winkler hailed the Michelin star winner and branded him “incredible”.

He said: “Thank you for the kind words and the most incredible meal. A taste of art.”

Fans couldn’t get enough and rushed to comment on the X/Twitter post.

One wrote: “That’s a great photo.”

Another said: “Two legends in their own right.”

A third added: “He is pretty awesome.”

While one commented: “So cool.”

Winkler’s memoir explores the lifelong effects of stardom and the struggles attached to it.

An online blurb reads: “Filled with profound heart, charm, and self-deprecating humour, Being Henry is a memoir about so much more than a life in Hollywood and the curse of stardom.

“It is a meaningful testament to the power of sharing truth and kindness and finding fulfilment within yourself.”

It’s not the first time the Happy Days legend has been spotted in Scotland after he announced a special Edinburgh gig.
