Devin Booker on Rockets' radar?

The Rockets position themselves to be aggressive in future trade scenarios with the Suns should that franchise need to disassemble. For now, the Suns plan to keep trying to win with Durant and Devin Booker, but the Rockets acquiring those Suns picks give them an inside track on a possible deal should a Suns star — particularly Booker, who’s 27 years old and on the Rockets’ timeline — become available. Durant could become a possibility, too.

Would anyone be that surprised if Kevin Durant suddenly asked for a trade out of Phoenix? Of course not. Just look at his track record and where the Suns are headed. Phoenix could recoup picks and build a more well-rounded team around Booker (and Beal because they have to). – 11:11 PM

More on this storyline

As we talk about Bronny James’s candidacy, it’s worth pointing out that the success of second-generation players like Brunson isn’t the exception; it’s the rule. Jalen Brunson (33rd in 2018; son of Rick), Domantas Sabonis (11th in 2016; son of Arvydas) and Stephen Curry (7th in 2009; son of Dell) exceeded expectations — not to mention perennial All-Stars like Kobe Bryant (13th in 1996; son of Joe “Jellybean” Bryant), Klay Thompson (11th in 2011; son of Mychal) and Devin Booker (13th in 2015; son of Melvin) weren’t even top-10 picks. -via Yahoo! Monk—who really put himself on the map, fashion-wise, this season—was making his first-ever appearance in the bracket. On his way to becoming Most Stylish, he beat out fellow upstart Jalen Williams in the first round. Then, he had to go through two veterans of both the NBA and its fashion scene: Russell Westbrook and LeBron James. That set him up for the final showdown against SGA, who went through PJ Tucker, Jayson Tatum, and Devin Booker to get there. -via GQ.com / June 21, 2024
