The recent accusation by former Pakistan skipper Inzamam-ul-Haq against Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh has sent shockwaves through the cricketing community. The accusation was made after India secured their place in the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup by defeating Australia on Monday.  

“Arshdeep Singh was able to reverse swing even in the 15th over. It is too early. It means that the ball was ready for reverse swing till the 13th over. The umpires should keep their eyes open here too,” Inzamam stated. His claims of ball-tampering have sparked a heated debate among fans and experts alike.

The cricket community is divided on Inzamam’s claims. Some experts like Sunil Gavaskar have dismissed the accusations saying that, “Arshdeep is a talented bowler who has honed his skills over the years. Accusing him without concrete evidence is unfair.”

On the other hand, former Pakistani pacer Shoaib Akhtar has called for a thorough investigation into this matter. “If there’s any truth to these claims, it needs to be addressed immediately,” Akhtar stated.

The Indian team has also given their support to Arshdeep amid the ball-tampering accusations with captain Rohit Sharma stating that, “We play fair and with integrity. Such allegations won’t affect our spirit.”
