Legendary Hollyoaks villain has barely aged a day as she glams up for day at the races
HOLLYOAKS legend Gemma Bissix left fans in awe as she headed to the horse races looking barely a day older than when she first graced our screens.
The 41-year-old actress is best known for her role as iconic villain Clare Devine.
Gemma got all dolled up for the occasion in a bespoke hat and matching red dress.
She paired the fabulous outfit with a red lippie and lash extensions.
As a special nod to her soap character, the star actually wore a pair of heels that used to be part of her costume while playing Clare.
Gemma gushed about the event on Instagram, sharing: “Royal Ascot you were EVERYTHING and more!!!!!
“WHAT A DAY!!! Drinking champagne 10am til 10pm with amazing friends!!!
“Betted and lost on every race (following Ryan Moore who had NO wins) but still the BEST Ascot yet!!
“Wore my 15year old Hollyoaks Clare Devine shoes … yes I kept them that long!!
“How I used to film and walk in them all day I’ll never know. My feet are killing me today…as well as my head!”
Fans flocked to the comments to compliment her youthful glow, with one writing: “Stunning!!!!! Lady in red”
Another added: “Wow Gems you look amazing!”
Gemma played the evil Clare on and off between 2006 and 2013 before the character was run over by Dr Browing’s car.
The actress won awards for her performance which involved some dark storylines.
Clare was known for dabbling in drugs, blackmailing Warren, and setting fire to The Loft among other antics on the Channel 4 soap.
Following her soap days, the TV star continued to pursue a career in the world of show business with a number of other roles.
Gemma starred in the pantomime Cinderella last year and went on tour with comedy show Mums The Word.
She’s also dabbled in reality shows including Dancing on Ice, Celebrity MasterChef, Hole in the Wall and Total Wipeout.
