Firefighters battle house fire in Oklahoma City metro

OKLAHOMA CITY (KFOR) - Firefighters battled a house fire Wednesday morning.

Officials say crews responded to a home near NW 160th St. and May Ave. around 11 p.m. Tuesday night. The Oklahoma City Fire Department responded to numerous emergencies between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. Wednesday morning.

According to the OKCFD, flames were visible upon arrival and the house received extensive damage before firefighters could knock down the flames.

All of the residents made it out of the home safely and no injuries have been reported.

The cause of this fire was determined to be lightning from Tuesday night's storms.
