Enid man arrested following investigation in computer crimes

A 49-year-old Enid man was arrested Tuesday afternoon following a joint undercover operation between Vance Air Force Base Office of Special Investigations and Enid Police Department detectives.

ENID, Okla. (KFOR) - A 49-year-old Enid man was arrested Tuesday afternoon following a joint undercover operation between Vance Air Force Base Office of Special Investigations and Enid Police Department detectives.

Authorities confirm, Chad Neal Weber was arrested on complaints of Violation of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act and Soliciting Sexual Contact with a Minor by use of Technology.

Police say, during a subsequent Interview between Weber and Detective Sean Dyer, Weber confessed to his involvement in conversing online with the undercover OSI Agent who was portrayed as a 14-year-old female. Weber also admitted to attempting to meet with “her” for sexual purposes.

Weber was booked into the Garfield County Detention Facility on the above complaints.
