Aldi brings back viral crisp flavour for Fourth of July weekend and there’s gooey American style cookies too

THE Fourth of July may be an American celebration, but who says we can’t make the most of it in Britain too?

In honour of the upcoming weekend, Aldi is launching an American range in stores from tomorrow – and it includes cheeseburger flavoured crisps and giant marshmallows.

From June 27, shoppers can expect stacks of stateside sensations, from cheeseburger and chicken wing crisps to deli burgers and giant marshmallows.

Aldi is bringing back its limited-edition £1.15 cheeseburger flavoured crisps, which looks  ideal for those hosting friends with summer BBQs or picnics.

New to shelves are their Specially Selected Buffalo Wing Crisps, which are being sold for the same price.

As well as snacks, Aldi is also selling New York Beef Deli Burgers, which are £3.99 for 454g.

The supermarket describes them as “juicy, succulent and full of flavour.”

Those who have a sweet tooth haven’t been forgotten.

Aldi is also bringing back its soft-centred cookies in Jive and Titan flavours, which will be sold for £1.25.

The description reads: “Golden and crispy on the outside, gooey and moreish on the inside, these cookies are sure to get taste buds soaring.”

Another sweet treat available in their American range is their new £2.49 Epic Giant Roastin’ Marshmallows.

If you have a BBQ going, they could be ideal for dessert.

The description reads: “Pair with biscuits and chocolate for the ultimate American s’more!”

You can pick up Aldi’s American range in stores and online via Click & Collect from June 27.

You need to be quick if you want to get your hands on the items, as with all Specialbuys, once they’re gone, they’re gone.

The budget supermarket is also introducing a plethora of chic homeware and furnishings for this week’s Specialbuys.

Aldi Specialbuys are bi-weekly collections of, well, special products.

The German supermarket drops them in the iconic middle aisle every Thursday and Sunday.

Unlike the rest of the store, which offers a consistent range of groceries and household essentials, the middle aisle is an ever-changing treasure trove.

From week to week, you never quite know what you’ll find, and that’s precisely the allure.

On Thursday 27 June, you will find stylish homeware to immediately give your home a glow-up.

There’s new Kirkton House Gloss Side Tables for £14.99 in either cream or grey.

“This stylish and functional piece of furniture is exactly what your room needs,” Aldi bosses said.

“With a gloss finish top, this table will add a touch of luxury to your home.”

When's the best time to shop at Aldi?

WHEN it comes to shopping at Aldi, the best time to do so depends on what you want to buy.

For reduced items – when shops open

Red sticker items are rare at Aldi’s 830 UK stores, but the supermarket says that none of its food goes to waste so there are some to be found – if you’re quick.

A spokesman for the supermarket said: “All items are reduced to 50 per cent of the recommend sales price before stores open on their best before or use by dates.”

That means you have the best chance of finding reduced food items if you go into stores as soon as it opens.

Opening times vary by shop but a majority open from 7am or 8am. You can find your nearest store’s times by using the supermarket’s online shop finder tool.

For Specialbuys – Thursdays and Sundays

Specialbuys are Aldi’s weekly collection of items that it doesn’t normally sell, which can range from pizza ovens to power tools.

New stock comes into stores every Thursday and Sunday, so naturally, these are the best days to visit for the best one-off special deals.

For an even better chance of bagging the best items, head there for your local store’s opening time.

You don’t have to head into stores to bag a Specialbuy, though.

They also go on sale online, usually at midnight on Thursday and Sunday, and you can pre-order them up to a week in advance.

As long as you spend at least £25, you’ll get the items delivered for free.

Remember: once they’re gone, they’re gone, so if there’s something you really want, visit as early as possible
